UnijaHUB Privacy Policy and Cookie Notification

We pay particular attention to the protection of personal data at the UnijaHUB online platform. With the help of this Privacy Policy and the General Terms and Conditions, we want to inform the general public about the nature, scope and purpose of personal information we collect, use and process. In addition, individuals are informed of their rights.

The use of the online platform is also possible without direct entry of personal data, however, if the User wants to use all the features of UnijaHUB, it is obligatory to register.

As a processor and manager, UnijaHUB carries out a number of technical and organizational measures to ensure the best protection of the personal data in its possession. Collection and processing are regulated in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and in accordance with nationally defined and prescribed data protection. However, data transfers on the internet may contain security gaps, so absolute protection may not be guaranteed.

UnijaHUB web platform uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored on a computer system via an internet browser and make it easier and friendlier for the Users to use the site.

For example, a User of the website that uses cookies does not have to enter access information every time he / she accesses the site, as this work is taken over by the website or a cookie, stored in the User's computer system.

An individual may at any time prevent cookies from being set up through our site using the appropriate set of the internet browser used, and may thus permanently refuse cookies. In addition, cookies that are already set can be deleted at any time through an internet browser or other system programs. This is possible in all popular internet browsers. To the extent that an individual deactivates the cookie settings of the internet browser used, the features of the website will not be fully usable.

2. Collection of general information and data

The UnijaHUB platform collects a range of general information and data when an individual visits the site. These general information and data are stored in server log files. The following may be collected:

  • browser types and versions used,
  • the operating system used by the access system,
  • the website from which the accessible system reaches our site (the so-called referrals),
  • sub-national websites,
  • date and time of access to the website,
  • Internet Protocol Address (IP Address),
  • the internet service Provider of an accessible system; and,
  • any other similar data and information that may be used in the event of an attack on our information technology systems.

When using these general information and data, UnijaHUB does not obtain any specific information about the individual. Instead, this information is needed for:

  • proper delivery of the content of our site,
  • optimization of the content of our site as well as its ads,
  • ensuring the long-term viability of our information technology and site technology systems, and,
  • providing enforcement authorities with the information necessary for law enforcement in the event of an online attack.

3 Contact option on the website

The UnijaHUB online platform contains contact forms that allow you to quickly contact the company electronically. If an individual chooses to contact us through the contact form, the personal information they provide on the form is automatically saved. Such personal data shall be stored by the data controller for the purpose of processing or contacting the data subject. This information is not sent to any third parties.

Sign up for e-notification

On the UnijaHUB online platform, the Users have the opportunity to subscribe to our daily, weekly or monthly e-news or e-news alerts.

With the help of e-notifications, UnijaHUB regularly informs its Users about information of M&A process, news, business opportunities, as well as updates in its consulting services of M&A process. Notifications shall be received only by the data subject if:

  • the data subject has a valid e-mail address, and
  • the data subject logs in / registers to receive e-notifications.

The subscriber to the e-notifications may at any time cancel the order to which the information relates. Consent to the storage of personal information from e-mails, which has been confirmed by the individual, may be revoked at any time. For consent withdrawal, an appropriate link is provided in each email notification. The individual can also report the cancellation directly to the data controller in a different way (written, electronic or oral).

4 Deletion and blocking of personal data

The data controller shall process and store the personal data of the data subject only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of storage or for a period approved by the European legislator or other legislator in laws or regulations concerning the controller. If the purpose of storage is unspecified or unsuitable, or if the storage period prescribed by the European legislator or another competent legislator expires, the personal data shall be routinely blocked or erased in accordance with legal requirements. Deletion is, of course, also possible at the request of the data subject.

The data collected shall be the following:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Last four number of the credit card, if credit card is used

5 User rights

A) The right to confirmation

Each individual has the right, granted by the European legislator, to obtain from the controller information about whether or not personal data relating to him / her are processed. If an individual wishes to exercise this right, he or she may at any time contact the contact persons (employees) at the controller.

B) The right to access

Each individual has the right, granted by the European legislator, to obtain a copy of the personal data stored at any given time. In addition, European directives and regulations give the data subject access to the following information:

  • the purpose of the processing,
  • the categories of personal data concerned,
  • recipients or categories of recipients for whom personal data have been or will be disclosed, in particular recipients in third countries or international organizations,
  • where possible, the estimated period during which the personal data will be stored or, if this is not possible, the criteria used to determine that period,
  • the existence of the right of the controller to request correction or deletion of personal data or to restrict the processing of personal data concerning the data subjects, or to object to such processing,
  • the existence of the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority,
  • where personal information is not collected directly from the data subject - access to all available information about their source.

Personal data are not transferred to a third country or an international organization.

C) The right to rectification

Each individual has the right, granted by the European legislator, to obtain from the controller without undue delay the correction of inaccurate personal data relating to him. Considering the purpose of the processing, the individual has the right to complete the missing data.

If an individual wishes to exercise this right, he or she may at any time contact the contact persons (employees) at the controller.

D) The right to deletion

Each individual has the right, granted by the European legislator, for the controller to delete personal data relating to him or her without undue delay. In cases provided for by law, the controller is obliged to delete personal data without undue delay.

E) The right to restrict data processing

Each individual has the right, granted by the European legislator, to obtain from the controller a restriction on data processing if one of the following applies:

a. An individual disputes the accuracy of personal data for a time allowing the controller to verify the accuracy of personal data.
b. Processing is illegal and the individual opposes the deletion of personal data and instead restricts their use.
c. The controller no longer requires personal data for processing purposes, but the data subject requires the establishment, implementation or protection of legal claims.
d. The data subject has objected to GDPR processing until it is verified that the controller's legitimate reasons outweighed those of the data subject.

If one of the above conditions is met and the data subject requests a restriction on the processing of personal data stored with UnijaHUB, UnijaHUB must immediately ensure that the request for restriction of processing is complied with.

F) The right to data transfer

Each individual has the right to data transfer, whereby the data subject may contact the UnijaHUB staff at any time.

G) The right to object

Each individual has the right, guaranteed by the European legislator, to oppose on the basis of GDPR for any reason relating to his or her specific situation the processing of personal data relating to him or her.

UnijaHUB will no longer process personal data in the event of an objection unless it can demonstrate substantiated legitimate reasons for processing that supersede the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject or for the establishment, implementation or protection of legal claims.

If UnijaHUB processes personal data for direct marketing purposes, the data subject has the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data for such marketing. If an individual objects to the processing of data for direct marketing purposes, UnijaHUB will no longer process personal data for that purpose.

H) Automated individual decision making, profiling included

UnijaHUB does not use profiling based on personal information obtained.

I) The right to withdraw from data processing

Each individual has the right, guaranteed by the European legislator, to withdraw his or her consent to the processing of the personal data at any time. If an individual wishes to exercise the right of withdrawal of consent, he or she may at any time directly contact the UnijaHUB support at info@unijahub.com

6 Transmission of personal data to third parties

For the purposes of direct e-mail marketing, UnijaHUB shall provide the e-mail addresses of Users of its website (registered members or subscribed to e-notifications) to the Slovenian mass-mailing Provider.

UnijaHUB does not share personal information of its Users with other third parties.

7 Retention period for personal data

The criterion used to determine the retention period of personal data is the appropriate statutory retention period. After this period, the relevant information is routinely deleted if it is no longer needed for the fulfillment of the contract or for the start of the contract.

However, individuals whose personal information is stored and processed by UnijaHUB may at any time request the deletion of their personal data.
